I bought an NA yesterday. I bought the '96 that has been advertised on the scca board and i think someone mentioned here as well. It has a lot of bolt on stuff and he threw it a lot of the stock parts that he kept. it also came with the small trailer, 3 sets of wheels/tires and one set of bare 14" aluminum wheels. haven't driven it much other than from my credit union to the house. i will be attempting the front bumper repaint sometime soon since there is no clear left on it. i'll get some pics up later hopefully, and i guess an avatar!

Congratulations! That sounds like one you'll have some fun with. Can't wait to see you in it!

let me get it cleaned up a little and a dry day and i'll get some pics. i managed to off load everything into the already packed garage last night so it's all in cluttered fashion at the moment.

for those that are familiar with the car, dave ran it as the 33 CSP and STS car. still has the magnets as well. i'll go with another number next spring when the season kicks off.

spent a little of the afternoon cleaning on it, snapped this one at dusk. it's not a trailer queen... some quick wax woke it up a little but up close it's not that great.hopefully i can get the rest of it done this weekend. someone must have re-shot the paint, my rags are blood red, so obviously no clear coat. i can however get a little more aggressive with the compounding.

I'm not sure about the red cars, but I know my brilliant black one with original paint had no clear coat. I get a black pad every time I wax.

Congratulations! I would have bought that car if I get my house earlier. Great deal!

Yea, the red comes off, no clear coat for the first few years.  That was a fantastic deal.

really... it's been bumped and repaired in the left rear and it looks like they shot clear over that part when they fixed it. for those that are not familiar with the car, it has all of the following done:

Full Jackson Racing exhaust (header and catback), CF1 clutch with 10lb flywheel, driveshaft, slotted/drilled rotors, rebuilt calipers, green stuff pads, timing belt and pulleys, water pump, front and rear crank seals, cam seals all new in last 5000 miles. New premium Robbins soft top. Jackson Racing adjustable swaybars, cobalt end links, kyb shocks, eibach springs, 1lb underdrive pulley, k&n cone filter(attatched to MAS), blinker vents, hard dog hardcore single diagonal rollbar, SS brake lines, cobalt quad headlights, trailer hitch. A Sparco racing seat, harnesses, roll call camera mount and if there is anything else I can't think of it.

It also has the black wheels in the picture, Kuhmo Ecsta V710's (215/50/13's), Kuhmo Ecsta V710's 205/55/14 on factory 14" alloys, Falken Aezis 195/60/14's on another set of factory wheels and an extra set of 14" factory wheeels with no tires mounted.

he also included a small 48x40 trailer to haul the tires to events with a fairly large box for tool storage. now all i have to do is figure out if it's still a CSP car or something else.

Yes, any repairs are probably clear coated. That's what most shops do now. When mine was hit in the rear it the repaired parts were clearcoated. I also had the front bumper reshot. When I asked about matching the non clear and clear, the body guy said black is black. I think he is right because they match pretty well.
