I would certainly like to participate if I am not out of town for any reason.
well count me in on the parade, just give me a time to be whereever i need to be on sat.
ST Jude Marathon is that day.
You guys really need to check my race schedule before you make plans.
I'll attend if nothing comes up. I don't mind riding shotgun either since my car isn't exactly show quality, if we end up with 8+ cars.
Okay, the green car has better things to do and the red car want's to ride shotgun with somebody else. Where's our Christmas Spirit!
BTW if the St. Jude Marathon is that day I may not be able to leave my neighborhood to get to the parade. I always hate that day because they block off all the streets around here.
I'll manage somehow!

Look for me and Nancy. We will be slogging along with the masses during the St Jude.
My best friend is buying a second gen with a flyin miata fm2 turbo kit in Ill. this Thursday him and his wife are driving to go get it and bring the new mx5 back to join the family I told him about it. If there is room I'm sure I can get him out for it! We can just register club 1 and club 2 lol get 16 of us out there.
That actually makes sense as an option, if we have that much interest that is.
I sent one registration in for the Memphis Miata Club. The deadline is Friday I think. If there is another club interested they should get the registration in. Otherwise I don't see a problem with your friend joining us. I really think we are being overly optimistic to think more than 8 cars will show up.
Thanks,
Steve
Cool Beans either way I think it will be a blast we should plan to do something afterwards like all go eat somewhere or something.
So what time do we meet and where would be a good spot to meet?
Depends where the parade starts and where they end up wanting us to stage. I'm definately up for a meet afterwards. Especially in these colder months, we'll need to take opportunities to group up and keep in touch.
The parade will line up on Stage Road between Alutruria and Elmore Park. Lineup begins at 3:30. I think we should try to all be there about 3:00 ready to start the lineup. The parade starts at 5pm. Make sure to bring some holiday decorations to decorate your car. Let's be as festive as possible. I have some ideas going for mine, I just need time to work out the details. I'll get some extra club magnets made for those that need some. They will be $20 for the pair and you will have them for future events also. We'll try to meet afterwards somewhere for dinner. Anybody have any suggestions just post them here.

make sure you have no "santa" stuff, they won't let you use it. he's the end of the parade and they are picky about that. i'll be there hauling the scout pack float with the truck.
hey I'm warrenben's friend that just got a 99. Im at the AirGaurd that weekend, but i get off at 4:00, if there's room enough still I'd love to be in this, would that be too late. Ill see if I could get off early.
Steve, I'm up for a set of magnets!
In the past the Parade has organized in the parking lot in front of Barnhill's Buffet (Corner of Stage & Elmore Park) but I guess it depends on how many participants they have. We live about at the corner of Yale & Elmore Park, so I'm not far at all.
There are plenty of good places to eat nearby - Los Pillares is right across the street - O'Charley's & Appleby's is further west on Stage. A little further east on Stage is our favorite hangout - Bubba's (although a better bar than a restraunt, truth be told) Fresh Slice's Deli/Cafe is at the corner of Stage & Whitten (close to the old Blue Plate).
Plenty of choices...what's everyone in the mood for?
Andy,
A set of magnets will be yours! I may call the number and ask more details about the location for the parade lineup. I like some of your eating recommendations. We could make the final decision the day of the event. We'll all be together anyway.
Robertoda,
You are welcome to join us. You might want to get off early if it is possible. We can try to slip you in if we can, I just don't know exactly how things will work since this is my first time at this parade. I haven't been in a parade since my high school marching band days. I had fun then, so I think we will have fun with this one!
So, who's driving in the parade? If we have enough cars, I am thinking of riding shotgun. I am not good at decorations, and wife will be out of town next week...
I just got the confirmation letter. We are line-up #55. Please see the attached letter.
